‘Tis the season to start looking for vegan Christmas gifts! Today I’m sharing my list of 40+ unique gifts for vegans that I’ve found on Etsy.com. From ugly Christmas sweaters to gift baskets and kitchen accessories, if you’re looking for special gifts for vegan friends, you’ll surely find just the right thing over here!
Why Etsy? Unlike other big websites that are full of mass-produced items with no personality, Etsy features a variety of small scale artisans who make and sell their own creations through their personal pages that are called shops in Etsy lingo.
Thanks to this business model, you are able to get much better customer service because you can talk directly to the person who made the thing you’re buying. If you need to modify something or request personalization, you’re much more likely to get just what you want.
Around the same time I started this blog, I was also running my own Etsy shop making and selling sock monkeys and other sock monkey-style animals. It was a true labor of love.
I poured my heart and soul into making my sock animals, and got amazing reviews from people who bought them. I no longer sell anything on Etsy, but it makes me happy to know that the sock monkeys I’ve made now reside on almost every continent.

That experience of creating and selling my own products has taught me a lot about the nature of business on Etsy. Maybe it’s not a big deal to you, but your purchase can sometimes make an Etsy seller’s day, and help them pay bills or put some money away into their kid’s college fund.
